Alejandro Sanz receives gold plaque in the United States and Puerto Rico for the sales of his latest album “La Música No Se Toca”

The artist delighted his fans with a private concert at the House of Blues in Hollywood, where he performed the songs from “La Música No Se Toca”

Alejandro will continue to Las Vegas where on November 15 he will perform at the thirteenth annual Latin GRAMMYs, where his latest single “No Me Compares” snatched two nominations for “song of the year” and “recording of the year”  

Los Angeles, CA (Monday November 12, 2012) Hours before his private concert with Univision Radio and KLVE 107.5 at the renowned Hollywood House of Blues, Alejandro Sanz was presented with a gold plaque for the sales of his most recent album “La Música No Se Toca” in the United States and Puerto Rico.

“La Música No Se Toca”, his first album with his new recording home Universal Music,  debuted at #1 in sales in 18 countries including the U.S., where he posted up at #1 on iTunes for four weeks and is currently the #1 pop album in the country (5 weeks) according to Soundscan. “No Me Compares”, the first single from the album was #1 in the U.S. and Puerto Rico for two weeks and it’s the only pop record in 2012, that has maintained within radios Top 10 for five weeks.Additionally, “No Me Compares” snatched two nominations (“song of the year” and “record of the year”) at the thirteenth annual Latin GRAMMY awards, where Alejandro will be performing live. “La Musica No Se Toca” is triple platinum in Spain, double platinum in Colombia, platinum in Mexico and gold in Venezuela and Argentina and continues to be one of the Top 5 selling albums in Latin America.

Alejandro arrived to Los Angeles to present “La Música No Se Toca” live for the first time in Los Angeles in front of a sold out House of Blues. The singer-songwriter kicked off the night with “Llamando A La Mujer Acción” and “Como Decir Sin Andar Diciendo”, followed by “Se Vende”, second single of “La Música No Se Toca”.

“La Música No Se Toca” was co-produced by Alejandro and acclaimed Colombian producer, composer and two-time Grammy winner Julio Reyes Copello.
