CULVER CITY, Calif., October 23, 2014 – Principal photography has commenced on the highly anticipated motion picture The 5th Wave, Columbia Pictures’ adaptation of the bestselling young adult novel. The action-adventure film is directed by J Blakeson, with a screenplay by Susannah Grant, based on the book by Rick Yancey. The producers are Tobey Maguire, Graham King, Lynn Harris, and Matthew Plouffe. Denis O’Sullivan and Richard Middleton are the executive producers.
Slated for domestic release on January 29, 2016, The 5th Wave stars Chloë Grace Moretz as Cassie, Nick Robinson as Ben Parish aka “Zombie,” Ron Livingston as Dad/Oliver, Maggie Siff as Mom/Lisa, Alex Roe as Evan Walker, Maika Monroe as Ringer, Zackary Arthur as Sam, and Liev Schreiber as Vosch.
In The 5th Wave, set in the present day, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, 16-year-old Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie meets a young man who may become her final hope.

The 5th Wave is a phenomenon in young adult literature, with 21 weeks on The New York Times Best Sellers list, nearly 300,000 hardcover units sold, and 80,000 e-books sold. The novel, which has also had tremendous crossover appeal with adults, was honored with the 2014 Red House Children’s Book Award in the UK. The second book in Yancey’s planned trilogy, The Infinite Sea, was published last month.
Hannah Minghella and Andrea Giannetti will oversee the project for the studio.

Oscar winner Ron Howard (“A Beautiful Mind”) directs the action adventure “In the Heart of the Sea,” based on Nathaniel Philbrick’s best-selling book about the dramatic true journey of the Essex.
In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story. “In the Heart of the Sea” reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down.
“In the Heart of the Sea” stars Chris Hemsworth (“The Avengers,” “Rush”) as the vessel’s veteran first mate Owen Chase; Benjamin Walker (“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”) as its inexperienced Captain, George Pollard; Cillian Murphy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) as second mate Matthew Joy; and Ben Whishaw (“Skyfall”) as novelist Herman Melville, whose inquiries into the event 30 years later helped bring the story to light.
Tom Holland (“The Impossible”) also stars as young seaman Tom Nickerson, and Brendan Gleeson (“Edge of Tomorrow”) as the same man, 30 years later. Spanish actor Jordi Mollá (“Riddick”) is the captain of another ship, the Archimedes, who tries to warn the Essex of what may lie ahead.
Howard directed from a screenplay by Charles Leavitt (“Blood Diamond”), story by Charles Leavitt and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), based on the book In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick, winner of the 2000 National Book Award for Nonfiction.

El personaje de 'Quinton', es uno con problemas desde su ninez y lleno de inseguridades de acuerdo a la autora de "ADDICTED" Zane.
"El definitivamente tiene problemas. El tiene problemas desde su ninez, tiene problemas de inseguridad con las mújeres dejándolo, porque a pésar de que el es muy atractivo, exitoso y encantador y hay muchos así, el es muy inseguro consigo mismo." Dijo Zane.
Zane tambien comenta que “ADDICTED” lo escribió con la intención de sacar a la luz éste tema, que lo viven o lo han vivido muchas mújeres a su alrededor.
“Yo conozco mujeres como ‘Zoe’ en estos momentos. Tienen casas fabulosas, carreras exitosas, niños extraordinarios, maridos atractivos… lo tienen todo y como quiera le son infieles. Es la razón por la cual escribí este libro y hablar sobre este tema, porque si ocurre.” Explicó Zane.
Se le preguntó a William, si el cree que las personas podrían ser adictas al sexo y el nos dice que es muy bien representado en esta película.
“Si. Tu puedes ser adicto a cualquier cosa, si tu te dejas llegar a ese punto. Me refiero a que, cuando te vuelves dependiente a algo. Y yo creo que esta película lo representa muy bien. Esta mujer logra satisfacer su adicción o sus fantasías con otros hombres y verdaderamente intenta resolver y comunicarse con su esposo sobre este problema. Pero al no encontrar lo que le falta como mujer, lo que ella espera como mujer por parte de el, ella decide buscarlo en otros hombres. El personaje mio y el de Tyson, tuvieron que ser completamente distintos, para que Zoe pudiera encontrar en cada uno de ellos lo que buscaba.” Explicó William Levy.
Para finalizar William Levy le quiere decir a la audiencia latina a que salgan a ver y a apoyar esta película.
“Ha sido muy bonito representar a los latinos en el lado americano. Es una gran responsabilidad y espero que todo el público latino tambien venga a vernos y yo creo que es importante, si el mercado latino sigue apoyando el cine, se seguirán abriendo más puertas, no solo en el cine, sino en cualquier otra cosa porque se ve nuestra importancia en este país.” Dijo William Levy.
